I connected my phone to the PC and I found out a new update was available. The new version 7.10.8773.98 let you add more multimedia in an MMS and let you import/export contact between SIM and device: nice!
As usual a popup appears both in Zune and on my Phone saying that a new update is available: but when I selected “Update now” the Error Code: 8018119C happened … related to something wrong with BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service). It is the first time I experimented an error during an update of my Windows Phone.

I searched that error code with a search engine and I suddenly found the solution at this link where there is not only the manual procedure to solve the problem but also a link to download an automatic repair procedure provided by Microsoft (the so called Fix It): I run it and in a few seconds the problem was solved and now I’m updating my phone 😉

It’s the first time I use one of the Fix It programs and I found a very nice way to possibly automatically solve a problem!!!
