I have just read the Microsoft newsletter and one relevant information is that also here in Italy is available the new Kinect HW that can see objects as close as 40 centimeters!!! So the play zone can be expanded and new possible uses of that system can be thought. A clear explanation of what is (and isn’t) “near mode” can be found here.
