Tempo fa ho scritto un post relativo a come aggiornare l’immagine del proprio profilo sulla intranet TIM e renderla visibile anche nel sistema di messaggistica aziendale (Lync/Skype for Business): visualizzando alcuni dati sensibili ho dovuto metterla protetta da password, ma se sei un collega interesato a vederla, puoi contattarmi via email e ti fornirò la password per accedervi. Tuttavia la procedura là descritta può essere ora evitata se si associa una propria immagine tramite l’Outlook aziendale. Infatti questa modifica, effettuata a livello di accunt di email, viene propagata anche sugli altri applicativi Office quale Skype for Business (presente in Office 2016) o Lync: diversamente non viene aggiornata la foto presente sulla intranet nella pagina relativo al proprio profilo.
Today a collegue of mine told me that he is having problem to insert his image inside the Outlook profile, so in this post I will show how to do that (insert or even update your image): this procedure is much simpler than the previous one related to Lync/Skype for business and it does not requires to have a picture of specific size!

In the following the needed simple steps:

Choose File from the main top manu and in the Info section related to user account information, click on the Change button:

File -> Account Information – Change photo

The default browser (e.g. Edge) will open a page related to your account allowing to browser and choose the new profile photo you like:

Press change, then save and allow the site to close that browser tab:

Press save

The picture in the Info -> Account Information will not be soon available (even though the old picture won’t be available anymore – so no picture seems to be associated to your account), even after close and reopen the outlook client: however, if you access your account on the web, using the provided link in the Account Settings section, you will see that the new photo is now there and so it seems that it is only a matter of time in order it will be propagated!

After some time the new picture will be shows also in Info -> Account Information as expected! 😉
