I already wrote an article on this blog that spoke about how to save passwords securely (How to save passwords securely and standardly, sharing them with all your devices): there I suggested using PassKeep app on Windows and the Keepass2Android app on Android smartphone/tablet, reading the same Database.kdbx file, synchronized through one Cloud.
So, see in detail that old post of mine, taking into account this update…
A few days ago, I tried to open that DB from my smartphone, and it appeared the following error:

So I went to my PC to see if there was a new version of PassKeep app in the Microsoft Store: searching “passKeep” I did not find any more that program (passKeep – Microsoft Apps) even though, from a link (https://www.microsoft.com/it-it/p/passkeep/9wzdncrdkvg5?&activetab=pivot:overviewtab) I have in that article in my blog, I could still reach it in that store.
So I wrote to the developer of that app that kindly answered as follows:
Hi Enzo, thank you for your message.
I also use Keepass2Android, but have not seen the error below before. This looks like it might be some sort of issue with the OneDrive app on Android synchronizing the database to the Keepass2Android app.
Unfortunately, I have stopped development of PassKeep on Windows as I found myself unable to invest the time needed to maintain it over the years – you can find more info here: Winding down PassKeep : r/PassKeep.
On Windows I highly recommend KeePassXC which is available in the Windows Store. It is what I use now for Windows on most of my machines. You can save to the OneDrive folder on your PC and it should sync for you across devices.
Thank you for the support,
Steven

Therefore, now I am using that KeePassXC too, even though its user interface is not as friendly as the other one…
There is a tutorial/help page at https://keepassxc.org/docs/KeePassXC_UserGuide
Note that all those apps are using a standard format to save data securely the data and that allows to use any of them to read/write/share any Database.kdbx file.
