It may happen to have a Windows 10 PC where you cannot find Windows Media Player application. That is a pity because that is a very useful application that allows you not only to listen to a CD but also to convert and save all songs in MP3 (see my post on converting song in MP3).
You may find this Microsoft support page saying to “select the Start button, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Manage optional features > Add a feature > Windows Media Player, and select Install.” … and after following those instructions don’t find the Windows Media Player listed among the available optional features!!! So you may feel a bit confused and upset …
You may try to search that app in the Microsoft Store … but you will not find it even there.
Luckily Windows 10 gets periodic updates but unlukily too often support help pages remain not updated!!
Therefore to have Windows Media Player application available, you simply have to go to Control Panel -> Programs and funtionalities – Activate or deactivate Windows functionanalities and then check the Windows Media Player item in Multimedia functionalities:
May be you can find it already checked and/or anyway you can continue not to find that application in the right menu apps list!!
So, what you can do is to search it (e.g. simply writing “media” in the search form ) and then right click on the found app in order to get the attached menu and add it in the Start menu and possibly even in the bottom taskbar:
So, from now on, you will easily be able to launch Windows Media Player as you ever did in Windows:
