Some time ago I wrote a post, Remote assistance in Windows 10, where I explained how to configure the Windows 10 Remote Assistance.

In this post, I will show you even the easiest way to have/give remote assistance in Windows 10, using a specific app that is embedded in that O.S. : Quick assistance app [IT: Assistenza rapida] !! You can find it in the app list menu (under Windows accessories [IT: Accessori Windows]) or you can search for it:
P.S: 2022 – Now Quick assistance app [IT: Assistenza rapida] is an app available from the Microsoft Store. Once installed, it is listed in the app list and no more in the folder Windows accessories [IT: Accessori Windows]
Note that under Windows accessories there are a lot of useful apps like Windows Media Player, Remote desktop connection, Capture tool (till useful if you have to capture a screen with a temporary window instead of the newest Capture and note app), WordPad.
Note, incidentally, that there is also another very useful menu folder, the Amministrative tools [IT: Strumenti di amministrazione] one, that contains a link to Defragment and optimize units [IT: Deframmenta ed ottimizza unità], Disk cleaner [IT: Pulizia disco], Recovery unit [IT: Unità di ripristino], for example. Well to remember!
Once launched the Quick assistance [IT: Assistenza rapida] app, you can click on Help another person [IT: Aiuta un’altra persona] and so receive a proper code to give him, or if you are the one who needs assistance you only have to insert the code that your friend gave you!
When the guy who needs help enter the code given by the assistant friend, he then needs to allow you to give him access to your computer, by clicking on a proper window. From now on both the remote and the local user will have full control of the PC, till the service is running. If I remind well, a proper Exit icon in the border allows the local user to close the remote session with his assistant friend.
So easy, isn’t it?
😉
P.S. Note that Microsoft support users can use to give remote assistance, as an alternative, also an analogous tool is available from the following link: https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/help/29289/receive-remote-assistance-support-from-microsoft

Molto buono, specie di questi tempi

… e poi estremamente veloce da usare/configurare …
Anzi, direi configurazione nulla!!! E’ già presente di default in Windows 10 e basta lanciarlo. Ancor meglio dei pregressi metodi che pur rimangono utilizzabili … 😉
